Vintage 1959 Conn 8D Double French Horn (Elkhart) with Original Case #786182
Very clean, near-mint Elkhart 8D. The Elkhart, Indiana years are widely considered the Golden Age of Conn 8D horns, and this is an exceptional example from the period.
This one has 98% original lacquer and good valves. Never any wrinkles, and minor dings have been burnished out by our shop. All parts are original.
It was recently displayed at IHS (International Horn Symposium), and many people said it was the best they've ever seen.
