*** Identical to the Buescher used by German / American concert artist SIGURD RASCHER (1907 - 2001).  Do a YouTube search and hear what a real classical saxophone can do.

Intonation is perfect.  The low notes are NOT sharp.

Use a VanDoren 2 1/3 or 3 on a modern Selmer mouthpiece and you'll be amazed at the warm and liquid tone-color. 
 
NOT a modern saxophone, but perfect for the Ibert Concerto or for classical sax quartet. 
 
We have no hesitation in recommending it to the most particular musician.
