Vintage 1926 Martin 2-17 Parlor Acoustic Guitar with Chipboard Case
#28369, made in Nazareth, PA.
Beautiful and exquisite 1920s Martin Parlor. In great shape for being 100 years old! These were popular guitars in their day, and were some of the first guitars designed to be strung with steel strings rather than gut strings.
Has a solid mahogany top with solid mahogany back, sides and V-shaped mahogany neck. Also has an ebony nut, bone saddle, and Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge.
Has some checking and dings/scratches throughout, along with a few minor gashes near base (see pictures). Has some buzz on the 1st-3rd strings on the 9th and 10th frets, with some buzz on the 6th string 11th fret as well, which appear to be from high frets. Missing bottom strap button. Other than those issues it's a great playing guitar with a deep, resonant tone; it's heavenly.
Comes with chipboard case.
