"The Violin-Makers of the Guarneri Family (1626-1762) Their Life and Work" by W.E. Hill & Sons, c. 1931, 1st edition book
Very rare and original first edition copy of W.E. Hill & Sons' history of the Guarneri Family. We believe only around 500 of the first edition were printed. The book offers a comprehensive history of the distinguished family of violin-makers, along with detailed pictures of various instruments.
Included are two receipts - one from W.E. Hill & Sons and one from Librairie Fischbacher in Paris, both from 1961. Also, there is a signed dedication from whom we believe to be a member of the Hill family written in French from 1944.
In excellent gently used condition; in immaculate shape for being almost 100 years old.
