LOUIS LOT (PARIS)
*** A silver-plated Louis Lot flute, number 5538 (1893) ***
French hallmarks and maker's mark are found on the embouchure plate.
The original silver plate is perfect...no worn spots anywhere.
Soldered tone-holes, plateau (covered) keywork to low C, in-line G.
We measure the silver tube as .014 inches (.35 mm.)
***
B-C shake, no adjusting screws.
Embouchure measures exactly 10.0 X 12.0 mm.
Sounding length is 601 mm. Please note that the flute comes with the original case. The head section fits tightly in the case and we believe is an indication that the head has not been cut shorter.
Which means our flute has not been altered or changed in any way.
Original spike and washer pad retainers. Please note the hand-rest for the left hand.
The case is original and in good condition.
Acquired by us from the great grand-daughter of the original owner who is, we've been told, happy to correspond with the new owner.
$5,800.
