Antique Handmade French Piccolo, c. 1890-1910? with case, special find!
A little history for you, some of the best Paris flute makers of the 19th and early 20th centuries also made piccolos, however the piccolos they made were not always branded. Ours is a nice example; handmade with soldered tone holes.
Original silver plate is 95% intact, with all new pads and corks.
We measure the embouchure at 8.4 x 9.9 mm, with a sounding length of 267 mm. Weight is 163 grams.
*Please note: in our opinion, this is more of a collector's piece; different from a modern instrument. 440 pitch, key of C. Plays very well!
Case is more modern, likely around the 1950s.
