School Customer Service Representative - Band and Orchestra Instruments:
Wichita Band Instrument Company, Inc. is seeking someone for a part-time 20-25 hour per week position. The ideal candidate would have experience with music education and/or good knowledge of band and orchestral instruments. The position would involve visiting a few area school districts and assisting band and orchestra teachers with their needs. Reliable transportation and someone who likes to get an early start on the day would be preferrable.
Low Brass Technician:
Low Brass Technician with experience wanted. "Not your typical music shop"in Wichita, Kansas, needs one or two people for low brass restoration work. We have a solid customer base for used professional and vintage instruments. Hourly wage, major medical, good vacation program, flexible work schedule possible. We don't rush our repairmen, prefer they do the work slowly and to a high standard.

ALL NEW AND USED INSTRUMENTS sold by us come with our 24-month service warranty, which is in addition to factory guarantees. For two full years, we will repair or replace (whichever in our estimation is the more advisable) any pads, corks, springs or other parts required, at no charge to the customer. In the event of cracked or damaged wood sections, we will repair at no cost to the customer or replace the section and charge the customer only for our costs (wholesale) for parts. Often, these are supplied to us at no charge. The customer is responsible for shipping charges. Cases, lacquer finishes and plating are, unfortunately, not covered by warranties.
Wichita Band's service warranty does cover dents and dings to your brass instrument. Wichita Band Instrument Co. maintains a repair department capable of restoration work of the highest quality. Even though repairs are essentially "free" for the first two years, after that period has expired, we remain at your service to maintain and repair your musical instrument forever. It's our "service after the sale" promise and has been since 1953!
In the event that a customer requires service under factory guarantees or Wichita Band's service warranty, the item must be returned to us and not directly to the manufacturer.
Anything we sell can be sent to you for a short approval period (5 days) without
any obligation. The customer is responsible for shipping and insurance
and must pre-pay back to us any freight charges on returned equipment.
UPS or registered mail are the preferred shippers. Instruments are sent
in a sturdy carton, prepaid by us and insured. If the cost of the instrument
is over $2000, we do require a 50% deposit which is completely refundable
should you decide to not keep it. Some fragile or consignment instruments
require a 100% refundable deposit, at our discretion.

Although we’re happy to send any standard musical instrument that we normally carry in our inventory, we want to tell you of our company policy concerning these transactions.
Instruments are sent “on approval for five days”. There is some flexibility here, but once the item has been received, you must decide within five days if you’re going to keep it or return it to us. You may be asked to supply us with UPS tracking numbers so we can monitor exactly when it was shipped back to our shop in Wichita.
If the item is not returned within the specified time-period, it will be considered sold and will be your property.
A returned instrument must be sent back to us in the box in which it was shipped.
A returned instrument must be returned to us via the same carrier by which you received the item. If we shipped it by UPS, you must return the item, fully insured, via UPS.
We may require partial or full security payments on certain items sent “on approval”.
In the event the item is not purchased, the payment (less shipping)will be refunded via company check or other means, within two weeks after the item is returned to us.
Returns on items bought with credit cards will include a 2.95% restocking fee to cover the fees we incurred with the original transaction. There are no re-stocking fees when original payment was made using PayPal, check, cash or bank wire-transfer.
Damage sustained by any item in transit from us to the customer remains the responsibility of the seller.
Damage sustained by or loss of any item in transit to us or while in the possession of the customer is the responsibility of the person to whom the item is sent.
We may decline sending certain items “on approval” that are in limited supply or which might be inappropriate for use of a particular musician. We ask your understanding in these cases and request you consult with our sales department before shipping an item which might not satisfy your ultimate needs and wants.
