Paxman Musical Instruments (London) F/Bb/F-alto model 80 Triple French Horn, Yellow Brass Body, Gold Brass Bell Flare; serial #9805L
 
This triple horn was built in the Long Acre workshop in the early eighties. The horn is of Richard Merewether's original design; has brass (not titanium) rotors. 
 
Nickel-Silver Mouthpipe, Yellow Brass Body, a Later Gold Brass (with Garland) Bell Flare.
 
Never lacquered, the horn was originally owned (until recently) by one of the top professional players in France. 
 
No dents or damage, the valves are still fast and tight. 
 
The original wrap triples, we have been told, are preferred by some players over the modern Paxman triples.
