Antique B-flat Boxwood Clarinet by Metzler (London) 1812 – 1815 ref. The New Langwill Index

Six flat and round brass keys.

Length from the bell ring to the top of the barrel is 598 mm. Length to the top of the mouthpiece is 667 mm. The mouthpiece is probably not original, perhaps dates from the mid 19th century. With a stiff reed, the clarinet plays well with this mouthpiece.

Case is English, probably original.

Originally we were a repair shop that specialized in woodwind and sax restoration. Today we have 10 employees including 5 of the finest repair technicians in the country.

Virtually ALL the items we sell have been fully reconditioned in our own shop, although we do sell a few unrestored historical instruments each year.
