Extra-clean wood oboe bearing a "LaMarque" label, made by the Robert Malerne (France) workshop, imported to the USA by Carl Fischer Musical Instruments (New York), the Buffet-Crampon distributor. Serial number 13,111, made in the mid-1970's. Malerne was well known for producing mid-range woodwinds, the majority of them sold in the USA by Fischer. The company was acquired around 1975 by Strasser-Marigaux-LeMaire. Our oboe has come to us in fine original condition, now with new pads and corks. Simple Conservatory keywork, no cracks or damage, still with original "Lifton" case that looks new. Recommended for student or adult amatuer use.
